The Rev. Father Kenneth M. DeVoie


 

  • Born March 5, 1965 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Bob & Lois DeVoie
  • A 1983 Graduate of Cathedral High School - Springfield, MA
  • Enlisted in United States Coast Guard in August 1983 for 4 years
  • Married Sharon K. Foster of Mount Washington, KY in December of 1987
  • Graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Criminal Justice in May 1991
  • Graduated with honors from the United States Coast Guard's Officer Candidate School, receiving a Commission as an Officer in October 1992, serving for 5 + more years
  • June 1997 moved to West Brookfield, MA with wife Sharon, daughter Emily and son Benjamin, working as a Self-employed OSHA HAZMAT / Health & Safety Consultant & Instructor.
  • January 2000 began studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary
  • Ordained as a Deacon in the Charismatic Episcopal Church (CEC) in August 2001, establishing Emmanuel Church - West Brookfield, MA 
  • Ordained a Priest in the CEC on April 26, 2003
  • Graduated Gordon-Conwell - earning a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), May 2, 2003
  • Established St. Stephen's Church in Springfield, MA in September 2003
  • December 2007 Fr. Ken petitions the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, under His Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP (Saliba), to Receive Emmanuel & St. Stephen's Churches into Holy Orthodoxy.
  • On October 18, 2008, Emmanuel & St. Stephen's Church's are Chrismated (Confirmed) into Holy Orthodoxy as Western-Rite Parishes - completing their journey in unifying with the Ancient and Historic Christain Church of Jesus Christ and the Apostles.
  • On November 22, 2008, Fr. Ken was ordained a Priest within the Holy Orthodox Church at St. George's Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, MA by His Grace, Bishop ANTOUN.
