Fr.%20Ken.jpgWelcome !

On behalf of the family  of God here at Emmanuel Orthodox Church, I send you a very warm welcome in Jesus Christ's Name.

Emmanuel Orthodox Church is a Western (Roman) Rite Parish of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America under His Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP (Saliba).  The Antiochian Orthodox Church is one of the original Five Patriarchical Christian Churches in Ancient Christianity along with Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria and Jerusalem.  "...they were first called Christians at Antioch." (Acts 11:26).  The Antiochian Orthodox Church, like the Greek Orthodox Church, is one of the major jurisdictions that comprises what is commonly known as the Eastern Orthodox Church, Orthodox Catholic Church or simply Orthodoxy.

So many in the highly fragmented Western Christian world today are searching for or are attempting to create the "New Testament" Church.  It does not need to be looked for any longer - it is here in Orthodoxy.  It does not need to be recreated - it never ceased to exist.

Emmanuel is not an ethnic (i.e. Greek, Russian, Romanian, Serbian, etc...) Church per se, as many people tend to think of Orthodoxy.  We are uniquely an American Orthodox Church that worships God within the framework of the historic Western (Roman) Rite Liturgy.  We are a growing family Church with a vibrant and healthy life in Christ Jesus.  We are committed to bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to our corner of the world.  God's desire is for all to come to know Him, and we are here to invite people into a relationship with the Living God and His Church here on earth.

We, as Christians, are called to serve you as followers of Jesus Christ.  If there is anything that we can do for you, please do not heistate to call on us.  We invite you to browse this site for more information about us and the Ancient Christian Faith we belong to.  Truth never changes!  Information is always helpful, but it can never replace experience, therefore, we here at Emmanuel extend to you an invitation to come and visit with us some Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.  You will be warmly welcomed.  Sunday School is provided for children of all ages.

Many blessings to you!
